Reception


Audrey Linton

Audrey is our second longest serving member of the Springfield reception team, having joined in 1984; she has now worked here for over 30 years!  Over her years at Firth Park, she has seen a lot of changes take place. She has two children and three grandchildren. In her spare time Audrey enjoys reading.


Brenda Ledger

Brenda has worked as a receptionist with Springfield for over 24 years.  She has 4 cats; Snowball, Amber, Dodge and Batty-man (all of which she rescued and the latest she hand reared from just 4 weeks old).  She also has 3 guinea pigs and a rabbit and enjoys walking and spending time with her 4 grandchildren.


Claire Crowther

Claire began working as a receptionist with Springfield in 2012, initially at Crystal Peaks before moving to Wickersley at the end of 2012.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family.


Dawn Parfrement

Dawn has been a receptionist at Firth Park since 2003.    In her spare time, she enjoys looking after her four grandchildren.  She has one dog called Muffin and two cats Jessie and Lily-pad.


Diana Gillott

Diana is the longest serving member of staff with Springfield having started in 1979.  She originally worked at our Firth Park branch before moving to Richmond Road in 1987.  Diana has a whippet called Seb and in her spare time is an avid reader.  She goes to computer class every week.


Eileen Mulholland

Eileen is a receptionist at our Rotherham branch.  She has previously worked at our Mexborough branch, before returning to Rotherham in 2014.


Greta Lund

Greta has worked for Springfield since 2005; she works at our Mexborough branch but often covers reception on Saturdays at Rotherham.  She has a horse called Jas, a dog called Jasper (a stray from work), a cat called Toby, and a number of hens and a cockerel.  In the past she has kept sheep and spent the majority of her childhood on a farm helping her dad.  Greta loves the variety of the job.


Helen Bertram

Helen joined Springfield in 1999 as a receptionist at the Crystal Peaks branch.  At the same time she studied for her Veterinary Nurse Assistant qualification. Helen then moved to Richmond Road in 2010, where she helps with both nursing and receptionist duties.  Helen, along with Mandy runs very successful puppy parties at Richmond Road, which are important for training and socialising new puppies.  Helen is known for rescuing many of the strays that come into Springfield and has in her collection two boxer dogs, a budgie, cats and a rabbit among others!


Jean Crowther

Jean is a receptionist at our Wickersley branch.


Joyce Wragg

Joyce has been with Springfield since 1988.  She started at Richmond Road then moved to our Gleadless branch in 1994.  Joyce loves her job and enjoys meeting the variety of clients.  Joyce has two toy poodles called Monty and Poppy and her interests include looking after her grandchildren, shopping and travelling.


June Gillott

June is a receptionist at our Firth Park branch, where she has worked since 2002.  Although she had several previous jobs, June says Springfields is where she has been the happiest.  She enjoys the variety that the role brings, meeting lovely people and their pets, and the fact that each day is different.  Outside of work June has a boxer dog, Dylan, and enjoys holidays and travelling, socialising (even with her Firth Park colleagues!), and relaxing with a good book.


Karen Bower

Karen has been with Springfield since 2005, working at our Gleadless branch. Previously she worked at the RSPCA shelter and neutering clinic.  She loves the challenge of the job and meeting the large variety of animals.  Outside of work Karen enjoys baking and decorating cakes, and spoiling her cat, Tansy.


Karen Ward

Karen has been at Firth Park since 2002.  She has four children and five grandchildren and in her spare time enjoys walking with her two Cocker spaniels – Amber and Darcie, and going to country pubs.


Kath Shaw

Kath started at Rotherham in May 2012 after working fifteen years in customer service for Virgin Media.  Kath enjoys walking her dog, Kuma, socialising with friends, cycling, and watching films.


Kay Eyre

Kay has been with Springfield since 1995, starting at the Richmond Road branch, she then moved to Crystal Peaks before settling at Gleadless in 2010.  Kay’s favourite part of the job is seeing all the animals and the happy outcomes.  Kay has a Chihuahua, Speedy, and outside of work is heavily involved with the Sheffield Hallam branch of Cats Protection.  This involves catching stray cats for neutering, as well as fund raising and re-homing.  In her free time Kay enjoys reading, walking and keeping fit.


Kerry Binns

Kerry has worked as a receptionist at Crystal Peaks since early 2013.  She is married with a teenage son; they share their home with a West Highland Terrier called Henry, a DSH called Roy, and a Persian cross called Bobby.  Kerry loves going to her caravan in the countryside at weekends for rest and relaxation, as well as reading and swimming.


Kay Greaves

Kay has been a receptionist at Chapeltown since the start of 2013 and enjoys the variety of the job.  She is married and has a dobermann cross called Tia.  Outside of work Kay enjoys dog walking, and socialising with family and friends.


Marion Green

Marion has worked for Springfield since 2004, starting at the Wickersley branch before moving to Crystal Peaks in 2009.   Marion loves animals and has a Jack Russell called Sandy, a cat called Biscuit, an eight year old rabbit, and a goldfish called Monty.  Her interests include looking after her collection of animals, swimming, reading and spending time with family.


Natalie Brown

Natalie has been with Springfield since 2007, working at our Crystal Peaks branch. Natalie has two guinea-pigs and enjoys meeting the variety of animals that come into the practice.  Outside of work, Natalie enjoys relaxing at home with her family and days out with her daughter.


Pat Cowan

Pat has been a receptionist at our Chapeltown branch for 11 years and enjoys getting to know the regular clients.  Her hobbies include gardening, travelling and shopping.


Rebecca Bacon

Rebecca has worked as a receptionist at our Mexborough branch since September 2013, but often covers at other branches.  She enjoys moving around and meeting new people and pets.  Rebecca has previous worked in kennels, and has her own menagerie at home including poodle Mimi, chickens, ducks, rabbits, guinea-pigs, tortoises and cockatiels.


Rita Cooke

Rita has worked at our Rotherham branch since 2009, and loves all aspects of her job.  She has two yorkshire terriers, Jed and Billy.  When not at work Rita enjoys walking the dogs and spending time outdoors, as well as socialising.


Sandra Parry

Sandra started working on reception at Rotherham in April 2012, before moving to Wickersley in 2013.  So far she has thoroughly enjoyed her time working here!  Sandra has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Oscar, Archie a cat and an Amazon parrot called Dell Boy.  Outside of work Sandra enjoys good food, wine tasting and reading.


Sara Ferrell

Sara has worked as a receptionist at our Mexborough branch since 2010.  She enjoys all aspects of her job but especially meeting different people and learning about their pets.  Outside of work she is kept busy by her two sons, dog and cat.


Sarah Shepherd

Sarah is a receptionist at our Crstal Peaks branch.  She became part time after having her two young children and now works mostly Saturdays.


Sharon Wheelhouse

Sharon is a receptionist at our Richmond Road branch.


Stella Toulson

Stella has been a receptionist at Crystal Peaks since 2008.  She has a pointer, Piper, two rats and a large pond full of koi carp.  Stella has two young boys who keep her very busy outside of work and who compete in martial art competitons.  She also enjoys cycling and kick boxing.


Tracey Donoghue

Tracey has been with Springfield since 2009, working on reception at our Wickersley branch.  She has two dogs, Tilly and Bella, and a rabbit, Fudge.  Tracey enjoys reading and walking in her spare time.


Wendy Jackson

Wendy has been working for Springfield since November 2004. She has helped out at other branches but is mainly based at Rotherham.  She finds this most enjoyable as it is one of the busiest surgeries.  Wendy enjoys meeting the wide variety of animals and an increasingly large number of exotic pets

Wendy has a labradoodle called Buddy, who she rehomed through the charity Support Dogs after he was unsuitable for working.  In her spare time Wendy loves walking, reading, holidays and gardening.


Claire Sheriff

Claire began working as a receptionist with Springfield in 2012, initially at Crystal Peaks before moving to Wickersley at the end of 2012.  Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her young family.


Helen Longmuir

Helen joined Springfield in 1999 as a receptionist at the Crystal Peaks branch.  At the same time she studied for her Veterinary Nurse Assistant qualification. Kelly Green

Kelly joined Springfield in September 2014 as a receptionist at our Crystal Peaks branch.  She enjoyed the job, especially helping with the successful puppy parties, but wanted to do more.  In 2016 she changed role and is now a trainee nurse, working at our Richmond Road branch.  Outside of work she is kept busy with three dogs (Benji, Molly and Heidi), two rabbits (Ezra and Finley) and a canary called Miguel.


Raegan Selwood

Raegan joined Springfield in November 2014, and works as a receptionist at our Chapeltown branch.  She enjoys the job as it’s always different day to day.  Outside of work Rae is kept busy by her two cats, dog, hamster and snake.
